As CTO, you own the technical product development plan. You lead with technical depth and human insight, acting as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO, Chief Product Officer, and the Board. You weigh in on everything from roadmap trade-offs and long-term technical bets to development team and platform infrastructure budgets.

You translate today’s needs into a technical foundation that scales for tomorrow.

• Technology Leadership: Own the technical strategy and align it with talentguide’s long-term vision. You'll solve today’s challenges while laying the groundwork for tomorrow’s growth.
• Team Development: Build and nurture a high-performing development team, mentoring individuals and fostering a culture of curiosity and ownership.
• Hands-on Contribution: Stay actively involved in deep technical challenges, especially during the early growth phase, while setting the standard for development quality. You’ll stay hands-on and keep coding.
• Engineering Excellence: Implement modern practices, from version control and automated testing to CI/CD and structured release processes – ensuring the team moves fast without compromising quality.
• Product Collaboration: Work closely with the product and AI teams to turn ideas into elegant, scalable features that truly move the needle.
• Decisive Direction: Bring structure to complexity, helping the team navigate trade-offs and stay focused on priorities.
• Leadership Influence: Participate in strategic discussions, shaping both product direction and long-term technical investments. You’ll regularly engage with the Board of Directors, showcasing product achievements and providing roadmap updates.
• Champion Security & Quality: Guide cross-functional initiatives that keep the platform reliable, compliant, and robust as it scales.

This is how you’ll make your mark with us:

• Collaborating closely with product, design, and fellow engineers, you take concepts from the first sketch all the way to production: design, code, test, release, and refine until it works. For this you’ll work with TypeScript, React, and Node.js to ship clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• You help design our architecture in a serverless way with micro frontends and PWAs to keep talentguide fast and scalable.
• Moreover, you help improve and run our CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, manage Docker and Terraform, and ensure smooth deployments to Azure.
• You design authentication and authorization components that give our users peace of mind every time they log in.
• Of course you’ll also tackle bugs and technical debt so that today’s quick fix doesn’t become tomorrow’s headache.
• And you’ll get plenty of room to explore new tools and frameworks. You’ll be able to implement these, as well as support your engineering colleagues through documentation, reviews, and mentoring.

Your toolbox:

• Core stack: JavaScript (ES2016+), TypeScript, React, Node.js, HTML5, CSS/Tailwind.
• Dev magic: Vite, npm, testing frameworks, GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform.
• Cloud wizardry: Comfortable in Azure, with containers and scalable, serverless infrastructure.
• Architecture mindset: Modular thinking, PWAs, WebSockets, WebWorkers, with security (authN/authZ) in mind.
• Ways of working: Agile/Scrum, clear communication, and a good balance between speed and quality.
• Soft skills: Collaborative spirit, curiosity, accountability, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others grow.
• Languages: English fluency. Dutch is a bonus.

• Develop and execute data-driven SEO strategies to enhance search engine rankings.
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and content audits to identify growth opportunities.
• Optimize on-page elements, including metadata, internal linking, and mobile performance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in SEO, growth marketing, or content marketing.
• Proven track record of improving organic rankings and increasing traffic.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with A/B testing and CRO.
• Proficiency in SEO tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO optimizations.
• Experience with CMS platforms (HubSpot).

Bonus requirements:

• Experience with local SEO, technical SEO, and structured data.
• Knowledge of AI-driven SEO strategies.
• Background in paid search and digital advertising.

• Research and identify potential customers using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lemlist and HubSpot.
• Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social selling.
• Qualify inbound leads and set up discovery calls for Account Executives.

• Ability to handle rejection and stay persistent in outbound sales efforts.
