How personal development plans in talentguide work
The flow is intentionally straightforward.
1. Choose a target job
The first step is to set a goal. Talentguide presents a set of possible target jobs, whereby the employee’s current role appears first, followed by the most relevant alternative roles based on existing match scores between the skills of an employee and the necessary skills for a job.

2. Choose skills to develop
Once a target job is selected, we narrow the focus to the most relevant development areas. It highlights missing skills and expertise gaps linked to that target job, with HR free to include or exclude skills as needed.

3. Select relevant coaches and educations
Based on those selected skill areas, talentguide recommends a consolidated set of relevant coaches and educations.
Coaches show who can support development on the job.
Education options show what formal learning can help close the gap. We offer both internal as external education options, based on your settings. We integrate with the education catalogues of mtech+, Vlerick, Syntra Bizz, …

4. Finalize the plan
Finally, HR reviews the full overview, selects a target timeline, and saves the plan. The result is a clear personal development plan that is linked to the employee, tied to a target role, and allows to support an actual development conversation.
Employees can also view their plan
If employees have access to Talentguide, they can view their development plan and receive notifications when a plan is created or updated.
